The following publications are related to African World Heritage site management. They provide crucial information on heritage management and equip heritage managers, States Parties, Advisory Bodies, and partners with useful data to guide decision-making in heritage preservation and conservation.

  1. Engaging Local Communities in Stewardship of World Heritage: A methodology based on the COMPACT experience (2014), 118 pages. This publication was developed by Jessica Brown, IUCN-WCPA Protected Landscapes Specialist Group, and Terence Hay-Edie, UNDP GEF Small Grants Programme.
